Class News: Last week we continued reading Frog & Toad books by Arnold Lobel to prepare for our visit to see the Frog and Toad play. On Tuesday we saw the theater production of A Year with Frog and Toad. Students who missed building swallow nesting boxes worked with Erin to finish the last few. We visited B Street Trail to look for evidence of wildlife in preparation of brainstorming ideas to attract wildlife to the Backyard Garden. In math, first graders completed working on our measurement unit, and learned about telling time to the hour and half hour. First Graders may now complete assignments through Module 5 Lesson 1. Second graders practiced telling time. Second Grade students can complete any pages in their Module 3 homework books. New 2nd grade math homework books will be sent home later this week.
Our March All-School meeting is this Friday, March 15 in the District Office Grove Room starting at 9 a.m. The spirit theme for March is 'dress like your favorite character.' This could be a character from a favorite book, TV show, movie, Disney, etc. As always, participation in spirit days is optional. No masks or weapons, please. Classes presenting at this month's ASM are the Puffins, Plovers and Merlins. Parents are welcome to attend.
